MO TILES was launched in February 2016 by Managing Partners Darren McGuire and Amy Odering. Together they had a vision to be a full service business, providing services that extend across the spectrum of design, supply and installation of tiling products.

From a dedicated tile showroom in Barrington, Christchurch, MO TILES brings the best blend of global trends and the best brands, with hundreds of choices to suit all tastes and all budgets. Whether seeking flooring or wall covering options for bathrooms, kitchens, laundries, living spaces, outdoor areas or swimming pools, MO TILES personalises products and services to customers from project conception to completion.

Darren McGuire

Darren grew up in Ireland, which is where he learnt his trade as a tiler. He worked in his father’s tiling business and has now been a tiler for 19 years. Darren has worked for a number of prominent tiling companies – both in Ireland and in Christchurch, perfecting his trade over many years and is now regarded as an expert in the field.

After gaining his New Zealand residency, Darren started his own tiling company, DMG Tiling Ltd which proved successful. Wanting to expand and offer to the wider community a better tiling experience from beginning to end, Darren decided to supply as well as install, and so MO TILES concept was born.

Amy Odering

Amy is Christchurch born and raised and has been around business all her life. She started working at the age of 13 and by 16 was Manager at a small family business. Amy has challenged herself to many exciting roles, including event management but knew having her own business was her end goal. Amy’s background is in Business Administration and Project & Event Management. She has also completed a National Certificate in Business Administration and Computing, a Bachelor of Applied Management Event Management and Project Management and a Graduate Diploma in Operations and Production Management. MO TILES represents everything Amy is passionate about and skilled in, including her knack for design.
